Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 23, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the public website at snugglyboop.com and the SnugglyBoop: Cozy Pets mobile application (the "App"). It explains what information stays on your device, what information may be processed by the service providers we use to operate the App and website, and what choices you have.
2. No Account Required
The App does not require account creation, a username, or a password. You can use the core experience without giving us your name, mailing address, or phone number. If you contact us by email, we will receive the information you include in that message, such as your email address and any details you choose to share.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
Most App data is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. Depending on how you use the App, local data can include:
- Your pet name, selected companion, accessories, backgrounds, and other customization choices
- Bond level, streaks, milestones, ritual progress, and challenge progress
- Mood check-ins and any optional check-in note you choose to write
- Cozy Room layout and unlocked items
- Reminder preferences, sound settings, and theme or interface preferences
- Premium entitlement state cached on your device
- Welcome journey or onboarding progress
We do not have direct access to that local-only data from our website. If you uninstall the App, locally stored App data on that device may be removed, subject to how your operating system handles app removal and backups.
4. Permissions You Choose to Grant
The App may ask for device permissions only when you use a related feature:
- Notifications — to schedule local reminder notifications at the time you choose
- Photo library access — to save keepsakes, snapshots, or other images you choose to save
- Tracking permission on iOS — to allow advertising attribution and campaign measurement, as described below
You can decline these permissions. Declining a permission may limit the related feature, but the core App experience will still work.
The App is not designed to require camera, microphone, precise location, contacts, or calendar access for normal use.
5. Purchases and Subscription Services
If you buy premium features, payment processing is handled by the applicable app marketplace, currently Apple's App Store for the iOS release we reviewed. We do not receive your full payment card details.
The App uses RevenueCat to manage offerings, purchase status, subscription state, and restoration flows. RevenueCat may process anonymous or pseudonymous app user identifiers, purchase receipt data, product and plan information, and subscription status information so the App can determine whether premium access is active and restore purchases across sessions or devices.
To help us reconcile subscription, analytics, and attribution events, the App may also use a stable RevenueCat app user identifier inside third-party tools we use for analytics or attribution, including AppsFlyer and PostHog. We do not use this to reveal your name or email to those services unless you separately provide identifying information through another service. RevenueCat's Privacy Policy is available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
6. Attribution, Advertising Measurement, and App Tracking Transparency
The App uses AppsFlyer for mobile attribution and advertising measurement. We may use AppsFlyer to understand which marketing campaigns contributed to app installs, opens, and a small set of allowlisted in-app conversion or funnel events: onboarding completion, paywall views, trial starts, and paid purchase events.
Depending on your device, platform, and privacy settings, AppsFlyer and related advertising partners may process information such as:
- device and app technical information
- IP address and general location derived from IP
- app install and open events
- app version and country or region
- trial-start and purchase-related events, including product ID, plan, and price where applicable
- pseudonymous identifiers, including advertising identifiers where permitted, AppsFlyer identifiers, and customer-issued user IDs
The App also supports Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework on iOS. If iOS requires tracking permission for a given form of tracking or access to the advertising identifier, we ask for that permission through Apple's system prompt. If you do not allow tracking, some attribution and advertising measurement may be limited or may rely on privacy-preserving or aggregated reporting instead.
AppsFlyer may share attribution or event postbacks with advertising partners we use, such as TikTok, so campaign performance can be measured and optimized. We do not intentionally send free-form mood notes or journal-style text to AppsFlyer or ad partners. AppsFlyer's Services Privacy Policy is available at https://www.appsflyer.com/legal/services-privacy-policy/.
7. Diagnostics and Product Analytics
The App uses PostHog for product analytics and keeps a small recent telemetry snapshot on your device for debugging and stability.
- Local telemetry — The App may store a small local record of recent errors, counters, and recent events on your device. This helps with debugging and app stability.
- Remote product analytics — The App sends a curated, allowlisted set of product analytics events to PostHog. These may include events such as app open, onboarding completion, onboarding companion meet/feed interactions, first-session milestones, breathing completion, cozy room opens, ATT pre-prompt and ATT status events, paywall views, trial offer views and actions, trial starts, purchase attempts, purchase success or failure, restore attempts, restore success, and welcome journey milestone events.
These events may include limited metadata such as event source, selected companion or animal type, paywall layout mode or accessibility fallback state, product or plan identifiers, reward or mission type, and ATT status and whether iOS allows the prompt to be shown again. Only a smaller subset of product analytics events is mirrored to AppsFlyer for attribution and campaign measurement, currently onboarding completion, paywall views, and trial starts.
The App does not intentionally send free-form mood notes, journal-style text, or selected mood values to PostHog. PostHog may generate or use an anonymous or pseudonymous analytics identifier so events from the same device or app installation can be associated over time. PostHog's Privacy Policy is available at https://posthog.com/privacy.
8. Website Delivery
When you visit snugglyboop.com, our infrastructure providers necessarily process standard website request information such as your IP address, browser details, and the pages or files requested in order to deliver and secure the site.
- Cloudflare serves and helps secure the website. Cloudflare's Privacy Policy is available at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
- Google Fonts is used on the public site. When the font files load, your browser makes requests to Google. According to Google's documentation, those requests can include your IP address, the requested URL, and headers such as your user agent and referer. Google's Google Fonts privacy FAQ is available at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq/privacy.
Based on the current website implementation we reviewed, we do not intentionally use advertising SDKs or third-party ad tracking on the public site.
9. Children's Privacy
SnugglyBoop is designed to be family-friendly. The App does not require accounts or public posting features. If you are a parent or guardian and want to contact us about a child's use of the App, you can email us at privacy@snugglyboop.com.
10. Your Choices
You can:
- Decline notification, photo-library, or tracking permissions
- Change iOS tracking permission later in your device Settings, where available
- Delete locally stored App data by removing the App from your device
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through the applicable app marketplace account settings
- Choose not to use the public website if you do not want your browser to request assets from our site providers
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the website or App after an update becomes effective means the updated policy will apply going forward.
